Where Discord fits
Choose it for ongoing groups that need multiple channels rather than a single meeting link.
Check before you choose
Set roles and channel permissions before inviting a large community into a new server.
Find the right edition
Start with the destination for your device or the publisher's website. Use the current requirements and terms there to confirm the edition you need.
Compare the workflow
Choose a communication tool around the people who need to join it. Account requirements, meeting access and conversation privacy can matter more than a long feature list.
